Get ready to get lost at Hideaway Round Top, a new 21-acre luxury lodging and events destination opening spring 2026.

Envisaged by intergenerational Texans Emily Seiders of Studio Seiders and her husband Rick Seiders, Hideaway takes the place of a previously planned townhome development in the heart of Round Top, just two miles south of the historic town square. The development takes inspiration from Emily Seiders' childhood memories of visits to her family's farm in Schulenburg.

“We’d show up and my mom would tell us to ‘go get lost', and that’s what we did,” explains Seiders.

“We’d explore the woods, play on hay bales, ride horses, swim in the tanks, pretend to get stuck in quicksand – the whole thing. That freedom fueled our creative spirits. That feeling of being away from it all, and having the freedom to tap into your own sense of joy and creativity is something that I hope Hideaway guests will feel as well.”

Hidewaway can currently accommodate up to 19 guests at its three-bedroom main house and two custom-built casitas. The structures are designed with subtle, modern nods to German architectural forms rendered in oak and local stone created in collaboration with Sam Burch Architects. Each space is appointed with exquisite fixtures and quietly luxurious linens. Enchanting vintage textiles and heirloom antique quilts are repurposed as modern art installations throughout the properties.

The farmhouse and its adjacent cottages offer a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces in which to host and dwell, including a custom chef’s kitchen and bar, an outdoor kitchen and dining pavilion, and expansive porches that frame sweeping views of the surrounding wooded landscape. Winding walking trails traverse the grounds, leading to a spring-inspired pool, a communal fire pit, and a large pond with yoga decks and fishing piers.

The Seiders hosted a preview event at Hideaway this fall, giving invitees a taste of what’s to come. Guests were welcomed with a Hideaway Hibiscus custom cocktail blend made with tequila, pickled stone fruit, hibiscus and makrut line dreamed up by Austin-based Japanese restaurant Uchi. Also on offer was the Round Top Ranger with tequila, citrus, cucumber, and Thai chili.

Eats were also provided chef Tyson Cole's Uchi Austin and his collaborative restaurant with Aaron Franklin, Loro Asian Smokehouse. Offerings included avocado nigiri with yuzu kosho, gyutoro nigiri with 72-hour westholme wagyu, and Hama chili with yellowtail, ponzu, Thai chili, orange supreme and Loro's smoked brisket sliders.

Amanda Reid Designs was also on hand providing custom etched bandana slides for each guest, paired with custom Hideaway-branded bandanas.

A second phase of Hidewaway scheduled for completion in 2027 will see the addition of two 248-square foot tiny homes, a 3,409-square-foot event space with full service bar and catering kitchen and expansive steel and glass windows overlooking the pond.

Reservations Hidewaway's soft opening are live, here. The property will officially open beginning March 1, in plenty of time to reserve spots for the Spring 2026 Round Top Antiques & Design Show, scheduled for March 14 – 28.
