Eddie Ross Visited Round Top and Marburger Farm Antique Show

Eddie Ross, East Coast Editor of Better Homes & Gardens, visited Marburger Farm Antique Show on March 29 to sign copies of his book, Modern Mix: Curating Personal Style with Chic & Accessible Finds.

We caught up with Ross while he was in Des Moines and dealing with an emergency layout meeting.

This is not his first trip to Round Top—he worked a shoot for Southern Living—and he is leaving time for shopping. His friendship with author and designer Mary Emmerling means he’s known about Round Top for a long time. (We were lucky to meet Mary last fall during the antiques show.)

“I’m excited about hitting the fields,” Ross said. “Unfortunately, I’m going to be constrained by what will fit into an airplane so I’ll probably look for tabletops and smalls.”

Ross said his book is the one he never was able to find.

“It’s for every stage of collector. With bits of fun info. I hope people find it colorful and inspirational…something they will go back to again and again,” he said.

Ross draws his own inspiration from flea markets, thrift stores, vintage books and travel. He also has two other books in the planning stages, including one on his “new” old house that he is rehabbing including removing raccoon-festooned wallpaper.

Marburger Farm Antique Show opens Tuesday and runs through Saturday.
