Rachel Ashwell visits Cisco Village October 23-25.
Rachel Ashwell has revived her Simply Shabby Chic® home décor line for Target, and the Round Top fall show is the designer’s first stop for a pop-up shop.
The line nearly sold out in stores and online upon release on October 11, but will be available to purchase at Cisco Village during a three-day shopping experience. The World of Shabby Chic®pop-up shop at Cisco Village runs October 23 – 25 from 10 am – 6 pm October 23 and 24, and from 10 am – 8 pm on October 25 during the Round Top antiques and design show.
This first collection in a multi-year partnership with Target features new prints and designs reminiscent of Ashwell’s original 2004 Target release. The line includes comforters, quilts, duvets, sheets, shams, decorative pillows and throws in the romantic, vintage-inspired English country florals and muted pastels Ashwell’s fans have come to expect. A collection of holiday designs in the same vein will also be available at the pop-up.

Rachel Ashwell visits Cisco Village October 23-25.
“I’m hoping the new release will speak to all those loyal customers and fans from many years ago, but also the younger audience,” says Ashwell in an interview with PaperCity, noting that her daughter influenced the styling of the collection. “My daughter adores Shabby Chic, but she uses it in a much different way than how it was originally designed – it’s a bit more minimal.”
Ashwell will also sign copies of her new book Meadow Manor – an account of the renovation of her historic home in Somerset – on October 25 from 4 – 6 pm at Cisco Village.
The visit marks Ashwell’s first retail endeavor in Round Top since the sale of her former retail store and bed and breakfast, The Prairie, in 2018.
“I was very sad to leave Texas,” says Ashwell of her departure. “I’m not being dramatic when I say it brings tears to my eyes when I view photos from my days at The Prairie. I’m so glad to be coming back to do this event.”
