Thompson + Hanson Farms hosted its first Art of Design event at the brand's gracious regenerative farm and event space in La Grange during the Fall 2025 Round Top Antiques & Design Show, ushering in a hushed spirit of the main event with a panel of entrepreneurs, and a smattering of gorgeous antiques and handcrafted decor.

The evening began with cocktails and a guided panel conversation led by Thompson + Hanson’s buyer and creative director, Melissa Halleran. Panel participants included Mathew Owen and Lauren Mahoney of vintage Western clothing collective Lauren Owen of Texas; stylist and wardrobe curator Ellecia Knolle of Paris Prep, New York-based lighting and furniture designer Jason Miller and his wife Erin Pollard, founder of Underwater Weaving Studio, a New York and Maine based basket weaving atelier.

The evening continued with T+H Farm’s seasonal farm dinner. Carefully crafted passed appetizers included smoked salmon canapés, pistachio truffled goat cheese tarts, and fried green tomatoes with jalapeño ranch dressing.

An elegant buffet style meal followed. Guests filled their plates with rosemary rolls topped with herb butter and salt, and a salad of fall greens collected from the farm earlier in the day tossed with a champagne vinaigrette and herbed bread crumb croutons. The main course of beef Bourguignon was created with T+H Farms beef, slow braised in burgundy wine, herbs and vegetables. Sides included mashed potatoes and fresh picked pattypan squash au gratin with roasted lemon pistachio pesto.

Two flavors of pots de crème were offered for dessert. With flavors like key lime and pumpkin, most found it impossible to resist trying both.

T+H will host another can’t miss farm dinner Saturday, November 15 featuring more freshly harvested greens, slow-roasted pasture-raised meats, and herbs straight from the garden. All paired with thoughtful wines and seasonal cocktails. Get tickets, here
