McLaren’s Antiques and Interiors of Round Top is now open on weekends to serve customers.

As the temperatures drop and the carols play, Round Top will soon be abuzz with the sounds of the season. Throughout the Roundtopolis™, people will be making their lists and checking them twice to make sure they find the perfect gift for that special someone.

“The new stores hours will enable our customers to browse our latest finds at their convenience,” says Sean McLaren, store owner. “Whether they’re looking for a new addition for their home or a unique gift for that special someone, they’ll be able to find something from our enormous selection.”

McLaren’s Has Added New Styles

While McLaren’s is well known for its vast selection of tables, it has recently added some new styles to its inventory.

Customers will also notice a pair of magnificent cast iron urns discovered at the entrance of an English Manor House.urn-1-1

As the trend to mix old and new interiors continues, McLaren’s arranges its extensive selection of merchandise into vignettes to help shoppers see how to add pieces and match different styles. Sean says that the French shabby chic look seems to be popular again. Painted furniture such as a double buffet on the showroom floor is a sought-after home decor item.

McLarens Antiques and Interiors Trend-Spotting

During the recent Round Top Antiques Show, customers snatched up  beautifully handcrafted bird houses, which were sourced from England and available in a variety of sizes. The small sizes sold out; McLaren expects to be re-stocked prior to the Spring 2017 show.

McLarens Antiques and Interiors Round Top offers china, crystal and tea sets.English tea sets and decanters, as well as reclaimed pine kitchen islands, which were individually crafted in the McLaren’s workshop, were also a huge hit.

McLaren’s shoppers benefit from Sean and Helen’s world travels, with antique armoires and double buffets from French Chateaux and amazing doors from the palaces of India.

“I hand-pick every piece,” Sean says. “We also hand-craft in our workshop reclaimed pine tables from 6 feet to 16 feet long. No family is too large!”
