Leslie Sinclair Brings Segreto Vignettes to Round Top as part of the Fall 2016 Round Top Antiques Shows
When asked her favorite Round Top find, author and designer Leslie Sinclair quickly answered: a pair of mirrors for her master bathroom. Of course, that acquisition meant she had to sell the mirrors she had already purchased for the space.
“Be open to what you find,” Sinclair says. “You just never know what you will see.”
Sinclair added that every room in her home features something she found at Round Top over the years. Planters, coral, lighting…her list is long.
Her love of the hunt, whether it’s Round Top finds, or how to take care of the finishes in a new home or remodel — are evident in her latest book called “Segreto Vignettes,” which will launch Sept. 15.
The third in the Segreto Book Series, she says “I have three kids, three dogs and now three books.”
Sinclair will sign copies at the Arbor International Antiques & Interior Design Show on Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. She will also be at Marburger Farm Antique Show the following day (Sept. 27 and 28) beginning when the gates open at 8 a.m.
“This is my favorite of my books,” Sinclair says. “It is much more educational than the first two. I’ve worked with so many designers, builders and architects over the years, that this book really is a great resource.”
Sinclair says that the book includes more about trends — and each is illustrated with photos of stunning interiors. It also includes finishing trends — and how to care for them — as well as retrofitting reclaimed elements. Painting floors, which she says is a growing trend, is also highlighted.
The 334-page book, which weighs 6.5 pounds, will be available during the signings, or may be ordered at her website.
