DESIGNER DREAM SPREE NAMES SPONSORS FOR INAUGURAL ROUND TOP EVENT
Julie Dodson of Houston-based Dodson Interiors and Ike Isenhour of Dallas-based of Ike Isenhour Inc. is proud to announce the sponsor list for the Designer Dream Spree to be held during the Round Top Antiques Shows Sept. 25-28, 2016. The Designer Dream Spree is the first such event that introduces national interior designers and editors to experience the antique fairs of Round Top and discover fine European antiques, architectural fragments, collectibles, art and bric-a-brac.
The Round Top Inn and Prost on Block 29 are a premier and exclusive Designer Dream Spree sponsor whose support provides for all travel arrangements. Round Top Inn holds a unique place in Texas history: It is home to the only remaining original building from the state’s once-thriving cigar industry. Current owner Susanne Maida has updated and expanded the property to 13 boutique-style rooms in seven vintage cottages. Adjoining Round Top Inn is the ever-popular Prost on Block 29, an intimate wine bar filled with cozy fireside tables and walls lined with fine wines from around the world.

The panel discussion and book signing are sponsored and hosted by The Compound, located two miles from Round Top Square, a 57-acre multi- purpose venue contains four large barns, manicured grounds and indoor/outdoor entertainment space.

A moderated Panel Discussion, the focus of which is “Exceptional Discoveries,”is open to the public. It takes place Sept. 26 at 3 p.m. at The Compound, 2550 South State Highway 237, Round Top, Texas and is immediately followed by a book signing at 4:30 p.m. for Michelle Nusssbaumer’s book, Wanderlust – Interiors That Bring the World Home, published by Rizzoli.
