Join us at The Bugle Boy for a listening experience with Monte Warden. Doors open at 7:00 pm, and the show begins at 8:00. Select concessions and beverages will be available for purchase. Most seating is first come first serve.
The Bugle Boy is world-class listening room housed in a converted WWII Army Barracks featuring independent music. Musicians range from well-known artists to up-and-coming singer/songwriters who interact with the audience due to the intimate nature of the room. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Bugle Boy also takes music-based programming into the greater community. Please know that this is a listening room experience, we ask for an engaged and attentive audience.
Monte Warden won his first of a dozen Austin Music Awards when he was just 15 years old for Best New Band, honoring his rockabilly trio, Whoa Trigger! He rode the buzz of that band into his next project, the even more popular and highly influential, the Wagoneers, which scored a major-label deal with A&M Records after performing at the very first SXSW. The Wagoneers’ Stout and High debut was released to worldwide critical acclaim and is widely considered one of the best and most influential country albums of the ’80s, and Warden’s 1994 self-titled solo debut was named one of the 100 best US albums of the 20th Century by NME. But his biggest commercial success to date has been as a multi-million selling songwriter, landing cuts in major film and television shows as well as more than 100 major-label cuts by artists like George Strait, Carrie Underwood, George Jones, Patty Loveless, Kelly Willis, and Travis Tritt, to name a few. Warden is a rare two-time member of the Texas Music Hall of Fame, both as a solo artist and as a member of the Wagoneers. In 2017, he announced his new project, Monte Warden and The Dangerous Few, showcasing Warden’s writing and vocals in the jazz/traditional pop genre that Paste dubbed “The Great Americana Songbook.”
