Based out of Kerrville, Texas, Wert is a devoted family man and full-time special education teacher who also just happens to be one of the most compelling roots artists in America. Standing or seated all by his lonesome onstage, he becomes an explosive force of nature, conjuring by fiddle, banjo, or guitar a perfect storm of folk, blues, bluegrass, and punk.
