Giddings turns 150-years old this Independence Day weekend. To celebrate, kick off the festivities on Friday evening with the Grimes Street Music Fest from 5 pm -11 pm with Texas Unlimited Band. Saturday, July 3 enjoy arts & crafts, a farmer’s market, and vendors around Courthouse Square from 10 am – 4 pm. Afterward, there will be a short program around noon. The Lee County Museum and City Hall will be open for tours.
The weekend concludes with championship bull riding at Sheriffs Posse Rodeo Arena and fireworks at Firemen’s Park on July 4th in the evening.
