With a range of styles from soulful blues to pop and rock, Cari Hutson is a force of nature. After years of cutting her teeth as a powerful singer and gutsy performer fronting bands on Austin’s Sixth Street, she landed a role as the Queen of Rock and Roll herself in a touring production of the Broadway musical, One Night with Janis Joplin. In 2019 Hutson and her band were awarded a $20,000 grant at the annual Black Fret “Black Ball” in Austin.
