Jessica was kind to call and give us a preview of her book and her Round Top plans. Lorie, Shannon and I were having lunch at the popup Farmhouse Cafe…we’d just ordered an apricot fried pie with three spoons. They ate while I visited with Jessica.
Jessica, who is on a return trip to Round Top, said this book showcases hers and Jep’s marriage — and that it’s often been a challenge.
“People may assume there is never any trouble,” Jessica said. “Our message is that are are just like everyone else. We want to encourage people to stay persistent. Don’t give up. Keep fighting FOR each other not AGAINST each other.
“Keep the faith. Become stronger through it,” she said.
The book was published in July 2015 and will be available at Junk Gypsy on Saturday.
Jessica says she will be shopping during her visit, and named several of her favorite items that she has purchased in Round Top. Bee prints — because she is now a beekeeper. Frames…she said she often has to ship stuff home.
